I want to be able to hook my security camera up to a motion detector I
could purchase somewhere like from radioshack or home depot or
something. that’s toatally what i want becaus there is not any of
that blank boring stuff where nothing is going on! i wonder where
there are instructions for hooking up a motion detector to the
security camera aso that when something moves or someone comes into
the room the camera turns on and starts recording so that the tape is
filled with all the action. it’ll be so awesome to be able to look at
that security tape in the archives and see all the good stuff. maybe
a time stamp could be put on the video so that you could tell when it
was being recorded that way when the motion detector turns on and off
you know when that happened or when there are jumps in time.

maybe hooking up to a motion detector isn’t necessary. mmaybe you
coudl hook up a security camera to a light switch so whenever soemone
comes in and turns on a light then zoom right there the security
camera turns on. still I think hooking up a motion detector to the
security camera is better because even if the lights are on that
doesn’t mean someone is in the room. the motion detector will sense
when someone is in the room. maybe a heat sensor? that’ll probably
be more expensive and heck maybe that’s how some motion detecotrs
work.

Hidden Camera in Presents

Want to catch those little sneaks trying to unwrap presents early?  Hide a flexible fiber-optic secutiry camera in a christmas ornament or near the base of the tree.  the powersource could easily be disguised by blending it in with all of the other christmas lights plugged into your powerstrip.  hook the camera up to a motion detctor, and boom!  You’ve got ‘em!

My last post got me thinking about how a lot of guys, my friends, and hedk sometimes even me, we get suspicious of our wives. we want to trust our wife and you know the problem is probably with us. we know how imppure our thoughts are sometimes and so we can only assume the same goes for our wifes. so what do we do? like i said you can’t ask her. so you’re in the security camera business, set up some security cameras! that’s what there for, security! Not just security of home, but security of mind.

you know your bedroom better than I do so I’ll leave the final decision as to where to hide the camera up to you. of hidden cameras in the ceiling fan or cameras in the chandellier are good because they automatically have a high vantage and therefore can catpure more image. futher cameras in light fixtures aren’t the best as the rotation of the fan can make for a wobbly picture. of cours hiding a security camera in a fan is no problem during the cooler months.

now, you could always leave your security camera on, but that would make for some boring watching. you could set your security camera up to turn on with a timer, but this would only work when you knew the exact hour your wife might have an affair. this is possible, but not likely. the final option is to hook up your hidden camera to some sort of switch that would be activated when your wife goes into the room. Hooking a security camera to a light switch is often good, but not in this case because maybe the things you want to capture are going on in the dark. i would recommend hooking up your hiddne camera to a motion detector or heat detector. heck you could even hook it up to a weight sensor like scale attached to the bed so that when a certain weight was applied (more than your wife’s weight) the camera engaged. of course if you are really concerned about your wife having an affair in low light conditions i would recommend having an IR camera or dual IR normal band camera in this set up.

good luck man. catching your wife in an affair with a hidden security camera isn’t pleasant, but if you don’t at least you’ll know you can trust your wife more than she can trust you!

this blog is going to be awesome i’m going to think of all sorts of ideas for how to improve security cameras or where to hide security cameras. Secret locations about security cameras is something of a hobby of mine and perhaps someone reading this will find the information useful and be able to set up their own security system like maybe they don’t trust their nanny and want to catch her on camera… or heck, maybe their family life is not all that good and they want do catch their daughter or (heaven forbid) wife.
